Artist Statement / Bio

Michaela Meyer’s paintings are intimate portals unveiling the experience of transformation. She paints with thin oil glazes - often made from natural pigment - on canvas. Her landscapes are simultaneously external and internal, exploring natural cycles, historic archetypes, and primordial realms of creation. Spanning from dream work to grief rituals, they are a means of reaching for the transcendent in the midst of darkness.
