Choreographer, Dancer, Aerialist, Artistic Director of Flyaway Productions.
In both site-specific and stage performance, I choreograph on steel objects. I work with flight as an expressive medium within a social or political context, where the artistry of spinning, flying, and exquisite suspension is inlaid into a political intent. With my company, Flyaway Productions, I have choreographed for a three-story fire escape, a hanging umbrella, a circling merry-go-round, suspended containers of salt, spinning flour sifters, and flying poles. I have also made dances for rooftops, building walls, a construction site and the last remaining hand-operated crane on San Francisco’s waterfront.
