I work as a community artist making site specific events commemorating place, imagination and memory.
I have produced a storytelling tea party for girls and women for the last 14 years in Berkeley, California and made dances in the waters and creeks, groves of trees in Southern California, museum gardens, and for particular trees. Interest in an indepth exploration of movement vocabulary drawn from the place. Recent exhibition, artist in watershed commemorating community events and dances in creeks through photography.
New Project: Honoring Lake Merritt’s birds in Oakland, California through exhibition, performance and original lyrics for vocal artists with interactive public art sculptures built as part of event.
