I am interested in spaces, both physical and psychological, and how the two relate to one another. I create site-specific projects in remote landscapes, generating a severance from hectic civilization. I have worked on the prairies of Nebraska, on the borders of Lake Michigan, in Newfoundland, in Utah, and on an island in Maine.

A number of my more recent installations have addressed environmental concerns. The exhibition ?Chopsticks? created awareness of the massive deforestation in Asia and Canada for the production of disposable wooden chopsticks. I printed thousands of flyers asking restaurants to discontinue their use, and to use bamboo or washable plastic ones instead.

For the "Fresh Kills" exhibition, which marked the closing of the largest landfill on the planet, I cleaned up a beach on Staten Island, displaying my findings in glass columns with panels informing how we can take simple steps to reduce the amount of trash we produce.
