I’ve been a pastoral painter for 50 years and an environ artist for the past 15. In 2001, I created AIRIE (Artists In Residence In Everglades) in Everglades National Park, calling attention to this seriously endangered wilderness. Artists and writers may live and work in this unique environment for two to four weeks.  My own work deals aesthetically with the issues of our deteriorating wilderness, “Concrete Jungle” (Everglades Series, left). I’m also a columnist for Art Calendar, and an arts advocate.
